The end of one year marks the beginning of a new one and the WQAQ Sports staff would like to wish you and your family a Happy New Year!
It truly was a remarkable year for WQAQ and our sports members. Former sports directors Seth Rothman and Steve Tisi started the year by bringing more games to the sports stream and even more content to the WQAQ Sports Blog.
Mike Silverman and I became the new sports directors in the fall and really wanted to bring you, the viewer and listener, even closer to Quinnipiac athletics. Mike and I brought more games to the schedule with a slate of 70 events covered in the one semester alone. The sports department also redesigned the blog with Andrew Fletcher leading the charge. It was an amazing semester with the dedicated staff and it looks to be getting even stronger.
Jamie Palatini is stepping in as the new co-sports director with me and together we plan to bring even more to the table. You can expect updated commercials, more games on the broadcast schedule, and even more articles and feature stories on the sports site. The sports staff can not wait to get back to work in the spring semester to keep bringing you closer to your favorite athletes, coaches and teams at Quinnipiac University.
