Marc Schwartz is a freshman at Quinnipiac University and a broadcast journalism major. Only 3 weeks into his first semester at Quinnipiac, Marc became the co-host of a radio show on WQAQ 98.1. He also provides sports updates for the university radio station once a week, is the beat writer for the Quinnipiac University men’s soccer team, and intends on broadcasting numerous Quinnipiac sporting events.
Hailing from suburban Syosset, N.Y., Schwartz already has extensive radio experience. As a freshman at Syosset High School, Marc joined the school radio station, WKWZ 88.5, and immediately became the host of “The One Stop Sports Stop”, an animated sports talk show. After gaining a second show in his sophomore year, Schwartz began broadcasting basketball, baseball, and football games for the radio station.
While play by play and color commentating, along with hosting 2 shows, Schwartz was also a sports columnist for the high school newspaper “The Pulse”. Once senior year hit, Marc was awarded the top position on the radio station; Station Manager. As station manager, he was in charge of all departments, including sports, on the radio station.
When not at Quinnipiac University, Marc Schwartz still resides back in Syosset, NY.
