WQAQ Broadcaster: Corey Hersch

Corey Hersch

Corey Hersch, co-sports director at WQAQ, is a junior broadcast journalism major and sports studies minor at Quinnipiac University.  He graduated from East Brunswick High School in 2007, and played three years of varsity baseball.

Corey joined the sports department of WQAQ in the fall of 2008, and was awarded both “Co-Rookie of the Semester” and “Clutch Performer of the Semester.” Following the 2008-2009 academic year, he was named co-sports director at WQAQ. You can hear him on WQAQ Mondays from 8-10pm, co-hosting “Bobcats weekly” alongside Jamie Palatini.  He can also be heard on various other shows on the WQAQ airwaves.

Corey has provided play-by-play and color commentary for nearly all Bobcats sports. He has been involved in Little League Baseball since he was 5 years old, both as a player and an umpire.  In the summers of 2008 and 2009, he was selected to umpire in the Babe Ruth New Jersey State Tournament.

Corey resides in East Brunswick, N.J., with his parents Ginny and David, and his sister Amy.
