Quinnipiac forward Bryan Leitch recorded five total assists this past weekend in a two-game series at Niagara earning him WQAQ Athlete of the Week honors. This is the third time this season that Leitch has been recognized by the WQAQ Sports Department for his efforts on the ice.
Four of his five assists came on Friday, Jan. 16, in a 6-4 Bobcat victory, including three in the in the final seven minutes of play. Leitch’s final assist came on Saturday, Jan. 17, as the Purple Eagles handily beat the Bobcats 5-1. The split advanced Quinnipiac’s record to 12-8-2.
Leitch has been an assist machine in his senior season as his total climbed to 28. He also leads the Bobcats in points this season with 37, 10 more than any other teammate.
Quinnipiac and Leitch look to improve their record in a two-game home series against Robert Morris beginning tonight.
