With a simple glance outside, the average American might think the baseball season is a few weeks away, but a glance at the schedule can change all of that.
February is typically a month where the sports schedule calms down, but many campuses are becoming busier with the start of the college baseball season.
The baseball season officially started on Friday with Florida Gulf Coast hosting Central Michigan at 12:01 in the morning. Games could officially start on Feb. 20 and the two clubs began what should be a very exciting baseball season.
Teams across the country have been preparing for this moment to step on to the field, dig into the box, and have that opportunity to slip into the cleats again.
Quinnipiac has been practicing and will start their season next weekend at the University of Maryland for a three-game series. The Bobcats were predicted to finish fifth in the Northeast Conference in the season’s first coaches poll.
